About Zygomatic Implants

Patients with a high degree of bone atrophy (jaws without the necessary height or width to support implants owing to bone loss) due to long-term tooth loss, trauma, cancer, or tumors can receive zygoma implants.

Zygoma implants differ from conventional implants because they attach to the body of the zygomatic bone, also called the cheekbone. Compared to the jawbone, the cheekbone is denser and provides a solid anchor point for the implant. These implants also have different characteristics, such as size, diameter, and specific angulations.
